"Probing the low-energy constants of QCD with a small volume"

|Recently a new approach to zero-temperature lattice QCD
has been gaining ground, where certain physical properties
of the theory can be extracted from simulations in a box
narrower than one pion Compton wavelength. The basic
motivations and conceptual ideas behind this approach are
reviewed. Some results, as well as future prospects for
attacking the long-standing problem of non-leptonic weak
kaon decays from this angle, are also briefly discussed.
