Borrowing facilities 

 
 
  • Borrowing system
All the students and the scholars, not only those ones belonging to the University of Parma, who need a book for study or research reasons, may borrow it.
Most books of the library are available for borrowing. Textbooks, reference books, mathematical and physical tables cannot be borrowed, but only consulted: they ared identified by the classification codes A0130, A0150, A0155.
The number of volumes you can borrow and the lenght of borrowing period depends on your status. If you are a student or an external user you can borrow five books for one month, if there are not outstanding requests.The senior member of the Physics Department may borrow twelve books for the whole academic year. 
  • Renewals
If you wish to renew a book you have on loan, it is not necessary to bring back the book to the library, since you may renew it over the telephone or by e-mail
 
  • Inter-library loans
The documents you are unable to find in Parma may be obtained in inter-library loan. For this service and for any other question, please contact the library staff or connect to Inter-library loans and Document Delivery.
  • Lost books
If you lose a book while you have it on loan, you must pay the replacement cost.
