Abstract

Small particles of catalytically active iron- and vanadium-antimonate have been made by the mechanical milling
of iron-or vanadium-oxide with antimony oxide.  The evolution of the phases and some of their properties will
 be described.

The synthesis of metal-doped iron-oxydroxide and oxide by hydrothermal methods will be described and
the characterisation of these phases by X-ray powder diffraction and Mössbauer spectroscopy will be discussed
